Passages is a six-bed, short-term therapeutic program aimed at supporting youth’s successful transition back into their family (either parental or kinship setting) wherever possible, or into a foster/adoptive placement (where indicated by the case plan). Passages accepts youth who have the capacity to adjust to, and benefit from, a group living environment.

The Passages program works to ensure that all youth feel safe and have the appropriate opportunities to enhance healthy development. Youth are encouraged to get involved with social activities of their choice. From this, youth gain the personal and social achievements that empower them with a heightened sense of self-esteem.

The therapeutic programming offered not only focuses on cultivating each youth’s sense of self-worth, it helps families learn how to cope with behavior and parenting challenges. This serves to build positive relationships that contribute to more successful and stable transitions.
