The Program – ExCel Discovery

The Enviros ExCel Discovery Program is a group living open-custody facility for males and females 12 – 18 years old youth serving an Open Custody Sentence under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. ExCel works with youth to provide them opportunities to deal with their addictions, mental health and life\social issues.


The Position – Program Supervisor

The Program Supervisor oversees the Excel Discovery Program and support the frontline team in implementing program expectations and outcomes. The supervisor will require knowledge of the Youth Criminal Justice System and experience working with at-risk youth from a strength based and trauma informed lens. Experience working in collaboration with different systems while advocating for youth is an asset.

This position is  part of the Enviros leadership team and will ensure that day-to-day operations follow program protocols and Enviros policy. The supervisor will support the manager in maintaining working relationships with community partners and stakeholders. The supervisor must also be able to work days and occasional evenings and participate in an on-call system with the agency.


For Consideration Applicants Will Need to Demonstrate the Following


  • Human Services Degree or Diploma with relevant experience
  • 2-3 years of leadership and supervisory experience
  • A current criminal record check including vulnerable sector (completed within the last 6 months)
  • A current Alberta Intervention Record check (completed within the last 12 months)
  • A current First Aid and CPR/AED ‘C’ certificate
  • A Class 4 or 5 Driver’s License (Class 5 GDL will not be accepted)
  • A 5 year drivers abstract with no major violations (such as a DUI or Distracted Driving charge)
