The Position- Project Manager

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Project Manager is responsible for managing key projects at an operational level for Enviros. Project Management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget, and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects including setting up deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project.

As the Project Manager, this position works closely to CEO and upper management to prepare reports regarding the status of the project. This position plans, implements and evaluates the agency’s fund- raising initiatives as outlined in Enviros’ strategic plan.

This position must follow all Enviros’ policies and procedures, health and safety protocols, legislative protocols, and provide support as needed so that accreditation standards are met.

COVID – We take all necessary precautions when running our program such as social distancing, wearing masks while inside, regular sanitization of hands and surfaces. PPE will be provided. As we frequently access public spaces, the ideal candidate will be required to follow the requirements of the restriction exemption program.

Responsibilities

 1.  Manage all aspects of internal projects which support an effective organizational structure for Enviros

  • Develop and implement strategies in the areas of project development including plans to execute on those strategies, in coordination with the senior management team and in alignment with organizational This includes assisting with internal and external communication regarding the project.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Create and implement effective communication strategies to mitigate risk and ensure project or event
  • Gather information from a variety of sources to analyze, interpret, and summarize data to deliver insights and stay abreast of leading-edge practices and trends
  • Design logos, brochures, communications, graphics, and other materials using industry-standard graphic design software
  • Create and maintain the brand guidelines of the organization
  • Manage the development and maintenance of the agency’s website and social media by creating relevant and engaging content and graphics with appropriate branding
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and the public to enhance and promote the mission and goals of the organization
  • Assist with email marketing, annual reports, brochures, and other print materials using appropriate agency branding. This includes writing content, creating graphics using industry-standard design software, and using systems such as MailChimp to create and distribute
  • Manage expenses within the project manager budget and the fund development budget

2.  Lead fund development that aligns with Enviros’ strategic priorities

  • Research and identify new streams of funding such as grant opportunities, corporate partnerships, and innovative fundraising initiatives
  • Write grant proposals as required
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with donors, prospective donors, board members, volunteers, local community members, organizations, and businesses
  • Work with the CEO and other senior leaders to determine quarterly priorities and action plans
  • Provide monthly (or quarterly) funding updates to the senior management team
  • Work collaboratively with the CEO and other leaders to plan and execute annual giving programs such as the annual golf tournament
  • Lead the planning, development, and implementation of department goals and actions plans in Enviros’ strategic plans within stipulated timelines to achieve desired outcomes
  • In co-ordination with the Controller, manage fund development and donation documentation in a timely manner, including tax receipts, thank you letters to donors,
  • Maintain the contact database and donor management system

Qualifications/Experience

 

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • At least 3 – 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledgeable about social media best practices and experience creating engaging social media content
  • Experience dealing with the media and public relations
  • Experience with managing fundraising events and projects
  • Experience working with donor management software
  • Experience with industry-standard graphic design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and others.
  • Experience creating and maintaining web content and pages with WordPress
  • Experience with marketing software such as MailChimp, Hootsuite,
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector is an asset
