The Program – Passages
The program is one of Enviros “Live in” programs serving six young people between the ages of 13–17 who are under the care of Children’s Services. Individuals residing in this program may have been affected by trauma, domestic abuse or family breakdown. Some may have cognitive delays or presenting behavioral concerns.

The Position – Youth and Family Support Worker – Summer Position
The Youth Support Worker provides supervision and support to young people residing in the program and is a member of the team ensuring treatment plans are implemented. All workers are expected to assist with daily household chores and routines and may be asked to take the lead in certain areas of responsibility. Youth Support Workers must have good working knowledge of computer programs and skilled with basic office applications.

This is a full-time fixed-term position working 40 hours a week.

Education and Experience
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should have minimally a degree/diploma in the Human Service field, experience with youth in a group living environment; be aware of trauma informed practices, and be professional, reliable and able to work independently.

Other Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 5 GDL will not be accepted).
