Programs and Activities

1:1 Respite Care

September 21 to December 11, 2020

We recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic has created new stresses for children, youth and their caregivers, including restrictions on group activities. The 1:1 Respite Care program aims to provide caregivers with a free, well-deserved break and children and youth with safe and fun recreational opportunities.

The program provides, at no cost to caregivers, weekly two-hour recreation sessions outside the home to all children between the ages of 6 and 17 in the household, including children and youth with complex needs and developmental disabilities. Individualized programming is based on the interests, abilities, strengths and needs of the children and youth. The program begins September 21 and runs to December 11, 2020.
