Position Summary 

Outlines the purpose of the role from a high-level, organizational, and functional perspective.
Reporting to the CEO, the Human Resources (HR) Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all HR services and support to ensure that Enviros has a thriving workforce to meet organizational goals to provide the best client services possible. As an in-house expert, the HR Manager provides direction in all matters pertaining to talent management: recruitment, onboarding, performance management, rewards and recognition, learning and development, career mobility, succession planning, and the wellbeing of staff. In addition, this position provides expertise and guidance so that Enviros is following human resources best practices and complying with corresponding legislation.
This position supervises the HR Administrator and HR Assistant and ensures that these positions are empowered and equipped to provide excellent services to all Enviros departments and programs.
The HR Manager must follow all Enviros’ policies and procedures, health and safety protocols, legislative protocols, and provide support as needed so that accreditation standards are met.
 

Accountabilities

1. Provide direction in all matters pertaining to talent management so that Enviros can attract, develop, and retain employees to ensure Enviros’ workforce meets current and future organizational needs.
2. Provide expertise and guidance so that Enviros is following human resources best practices and complying with corresponding legislation.
3. As a member of the Enviros management team, provide recommendations and input on workforce initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
4. Supervise the HR Administrator and HR Assistant to ensure these positions are equipped and empowered to provide excellent services to all Enviros departments and programs

Qualifications/Experience

•Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or Business Administration
•CPHR designation preferred
•At least 4 – 5 years of relevant HR generalist/advisor experience
•At least 2 – 3 years of experience in leadership role
•Experience in employee relations
•Experience in managing all aspects of talent management
•Experience in developing HR plans and policies
•Experience managing an HRIS a strong asset
•Experience in the not-for-profit sector is an asset
